She was a freshman in high school, concerned with grades and involved in every available club. He was a senior, class clown, captain of the football team and everyone's best friend. It was Christmas Eve of 2008, Blakely, Becca's sister, was delivering a Christmas gift to her boyfriend and Becca tagged along. When they walked in, Patrick was there and the moment she saw him, she felt nervous, the good sort of nervous. She was happy he was there. Over the next month, a few things lined up that left the two around each other a lot. A YoungLife trip to Sharptop Cove, play practice, and eyeing each other in the hallways at school gave Patrick and Becca more and more opportunities to get to know one another and share more laughs.
We met on campus of the University of Georgia where they'd grown as individuals and into the couple they are today. This quaint city and gorgeous campus is filled with memories for Patrick and Becca. As we explored, the two shared with me stories of love, of family and friendship, of their hopes and dreams for the future. It's no doubt Patrick is just as smitten as she has been since the first time she laid eyes on him.
Over the next 7 years, Patrick and Becca would experience highs and lows together and learn what life and grace is all about. Becca calls Patrick her greatest supporter and encourager and accounts so much of who she is to him.
In September of 2015, Patrick and Becca took a road trip to Asheville, NC with plans to see the Biltmore. While adventuring to one of the prime picture taking spots, Becca preparing to snap selfies. Patrick had other plans, suggesting they wait for a stranger to come along and snap the photo which she thought to be strange behavior for him. Once someone finally came walking by, Patrick told the stranger, "make sure you take a lot." Becca faced the stranger who was taking the photo, smiled and waited. A moment passed and Becca hears Patrick say her name. When she looks over to him, she see's Patrick down on one knee, smiling (almost laughing!) and holding the most beautiful ring. After screaming, "are you serious!? Is this real?" she got down and hugged him tight and they were off to celebrate what was the most amazing weekend!
Before the day of their engagement shoot, Becca told me one shared love between she and Patrick is the love of food. During our trek around Athens, we ventured to a small diner called The Grill, where they often go for milkshakes!
How fun are they?! I can not WAIT to capture their wedding day in July!!!
Patrick adores the carefree spirit Becca possess and I was able to catch it during my time with them. Along with being happy-go-lucky, Patrick and Becca are genuinely fun people! We got on the subject of concerts and they began spilling their list of bands they've seen and my mind was blown! When around fun loving souls like these, you just become filled with their exciting energy. It's contagious and the world needs more of what they have!

Dani and Cory met one another through mutual friends in April of 2013. The first time they met, they shared occasional laughs but no sparks were there between them. The two weren't looking for love and had no idea that in just a few days, they would hit it off. A week after the first time they met, they both made plans to have dinner with their mutual circle of friends. Both Cory and Dani showed up at the restaurant only to find that their friends bailed out on the plans. Cory convinced Dani to stay and have dinner with him. They hit it off and had fun being in each other's company. One month later, the two decided to make their relationship official.
As the couple spent more time together, it became apparent that they were truly meant to be. Dani can remember the first time she knew Cory was her meant-to-be and it's such a sweet story. In casual conversation, she told him about how she owned every single Disney princess movie growing up, except for The Little Mermaid. She told him that she couldn't wait to let Emma, her little girl, watch it one day. The following night, Cory showed up with a special edition of the movie and candy just for Emma, all the while melting Dani's heart. *sigh* Now, not only does Cory love both of her children, but they, Emma and Alexander, both adore Cory just as much.
In love with the outdoors, these two take any opportunity they get to be outside exploring. When it comes to their typical Saturday afternoon, Cory likes getting fresh air while doing yard work and Dani is content being crafty. The couple loves being homebodies, too, binge watching TV shows together. Who doesn't love that? Am I right?! ;)
My favorite story from them came when I asked them to tell me a fun fact about each other. Dani's fact was that she can't keep plants alive so Cory does it for her. It's a part of their life that they both find humor in. The one time she kept her potted flowers alive, Cory accidentally backed over them. He felt guilty to say the least, but it's a cute little story I found endearing.
Because they had talks of what marriage would look like for them, Dani felt sure a proposal would eventually happen, but she wasn't sure of when it would be. In her mind, she thought for certain Cory would make sure she was all dolled up for the occasion. But Cory had other plans.
In September of 2015, Cory and Dani took a trip to Lumpkin, Ga for a day of hiking Providence Canyon, also known as the Little Grand Canyon. They had been hiking for a little over an hour, both sweaty from the trek when they decided to stop and take in the view. After a few moments, Cory decided to climb up a rather steep rock. Dani, being a considerable amount shorter than him, had a difficult time making the climb and frustratedly decided to walk around to meet him. When she got to where he was, she noticed he had something in his hand. He told her to come check out what he had found, now with his back to her. Convinced it was just a stick or something, she walked over to see what it was he had found. As soon as she got up to him, he turned around holding a ring and proposed! It was a moment she'll always cherish and wouldn't change for anything!
I had such a lovely time exploring Roswell Mill, getting to know this sweet, funny couple! To Dani and Cory, thank you both so much for inviting me into your lives and trusting me to capture your memories. I look forward to seeing you again in October for your special day!
