Stryker Red is his name. His estimated arrival date, November 9, a date that has a special meaning to Candice. In 2002, Candice's grandmother passed away. A woman Candice cherished. Candice described her grandmother as caring and compassionate, never judged anyone, and loved with everything she had. Since finding out her due date was on the day of her passing, Candice has felt as if her baby boy was somewhat of a blessing from her grandmother.
Candice wanted a fall setting for her baby bump photos so we drove out into the country to Marks Melon Patch in Albany, Ga and wandered for a bit.
The name Stryker is one that grabbed Candice and Marc's attention since the first time they heard it. They sat with it for a while and decided it'd be the name of their little boy. His middle name, Red, is one with meaning. Marc's grandfather's nickname was Red. Growing up, Marc looked up to his grandfather as guys sometimes do. They resolved to giving their son a middle name that would honor Marc's grandfather.
How precious is her baby bump?!
When I asked Candice if she'd had any particular cravings she mentioned sweets. "Anything sweet," to be exact. Cupcakes, cookies, doughnuts, candy, ice cream. We ended our morning sitting on a hay bail, talking about all that Candice and Marc had experienced in the months of her pregnancy. It's amazing to me how each and every woman's body responds differently to carrying a baby. So many changes, so many emotions and stories of things that they have gone through. It's beautiful.
Thank you so much to Candice and Marc for sharing their story with me! I wish you both the best of luck with the arrival of baby Stryker and I look forward to seeing you again soon.
Meet the Bass Famjam. From left to right, mommy dearest Falon, little miss Kinsley, the loveable Carson, and papa bear Brandon. Was that introduction corny enough? ;) I love it. And I love these guys. I first photographed the Bass family in February of 2013 when Kinsley was just several months old! I've captured lots of sweet moments with them since 2013, this time being my absolute favorite! The kids are both old enough now to understand what's going on and beyond that, building a relationship with them is so stinking cool! Without further ado...
Throwbacks to previous sessions...
And now, on to the photos captured most recently while hanging with the crew!
Oh how I LOVE sibling love ;)
Kinsley is such a HAM!!! I loved photographing her being herself and having fun all the while! Kinsley is two years old and has a heart of gold. She didn't stop smiling, even when the gnats were in her face ;) Watching her give her affection to her parents and big brother Carson was heart warming.
Four legged love! Doggy snapshots.
Moose and Mya came out to join the fun!
I adore the idea of taking photos at your homes! I wish I had more pictures of my family together at our first house when I was younger. It's always bittersweet to go back to the first home you grew up in and reflecting on all of the memories you made. A big thank you to Brandon, Falon, Carson and Kinsley for welcoming into your home to capture you just as you are! Precious.
