Karmen and Dylan met through mutual friends in January of 2016 at a Zaxby's. Fried chicken, sweet tea and each other's company. The rest was history.
They decided to have their engagement portraits shot at Tarva Plantation in Dougherty County Georgia. A beautiful place that holds many dear memories for Dylan. Tarva Plantation is where Dylan's father worked for more than twenty years. Dylan and his dad hoped to one day farm together, they'd talked about it for years. When his father passed away just a month before he turned 18, Dylan made the decision to continue farming as a way of keeping their dream live and his connection to his dad strong.
"This farm is a special place to me. Knowing how far I have come in my life, knowing I could take Karmen back there for our engagement pictures. To have those pictures forever reminding me of memories I had with my father, was special." -Dylan
The way these two adore each other...
In June of 2016, Karmen's mother passed away suddenly. It was her 38th birthday. This tragic loss bonded Karmen and Dylan in a deeper way than either of them imagined possible. With each other as their support system, they've grown stronger as individuals and as a beautiful young couple.
It isn't hard to see the amount of love between them...
Their Saturday morning rituals involve snuggles and making breakfast together. A nursing student, Karmen spends the weekends studying and Dylan does anything but sit still... ;)
During the harvest season, Dylan leaves before daylight and isn't home until dark. Karmen loves that she'll be a farmer's wife in a few short months...
Dylan and Karmen are planning their wedding for August 18th of this year.
Karmen, you are going to be such a stunning bride!!!
